From the woodland to the table: a day of botany, ethnobotany and cooking
A journey of discovery through the flavours of the local area.

Programme:
09:30 | Morning: Welcome, identification and gathering of seasonal edible wild herbs, led by an expert in the local area and foraging.
• 1.00 pm | Lunch: Return to SP31 | former Frantoio Factory Culturale (Montescudo-Monte Colombo) for a packed lunch and afternoon activities.
• 3.00 pm | Afternoon: Cooking workshop and collective preparation of the ‘festive dish’ using the herbs gathered in the morning and locally sourced ingredients from the farm-to-table supply chain.

What to bring
Wear comfortable clothing, walking boots and layer your clothing.
Bring a wicker basket or canvas bag (no plastic) from home, along with tools for cutting and foraging; for the 3.00 pm cookery workshop, bring an apron, chopping board and rolling pin. Pen and paper for notes and/or sketches.

Booking is required at least 4 days before the date of the activity. The morning and afternoon activities (foraging and cookery workshops) are free of charge.
